Who we are

Discover Estonia is an independent online travel guide dedicated to helping visitors and locals explore Estonia — from the medieval streets of Tallinn's Old Town to the quiet beaches of Saaremaa and Hiiumaa, the university city of Tartu, the summer resort of Pärnu, and the eastern border city of Narva. We publish practical, destination-focused guides in both English and Estonian at www.discoverestonia.ee.

Our mission

Estonia is one of Northern Europe's most rewarding and under-explored destinations. Our goal is simple: to make it easy for anyone planning a trip to find clear, useful, up-to-date information in one place — what to see, where to go, when to visit, and how to make the most of their time. We focus on genuinely helpful detail: locations, practical tips, seasonal advice, and context you can actually use on the ground.

How we produce our guides

Our content is researched and compiled from a range of publicly available sources, official tourism information, and our own knowledge of Estonia, then organised into practical guides for travellers. We aim to keep information accurate and current; travel details such as opening hours, prices and transport can change, so we always recommend confirming specifics with the venue or operator before you visit.

How the site is funded

Discover Estonia is free to read. To keep it that way, we fund the site through:
